A Sad Weekend

To all the peoples on the innernets, we don't gots such good news.  It has been a real sad weekend.  We still don't know if our friends Mu Shue, Lilly Lu and Baby Iris is okay.  Their apartment had a real bad fire and their mommy is frantic.  Our mommy can't even let herself think 'bout it.  She says it's her very biggest fear in the world...if our house catched on fire, how would she git us all out?  It's just sad.

Then, our friend Miral went to heaven.  We just found that out this mornin'.  She had a sick heart and her mommy tried so hard to help her but it was time for her to go to heaven to watch over us all.  We know how sad Miral's family must be 'cause we have seen mommy go through it 2 times...once when Ricky had to leave and then just a few months ago when Lucy had to go to heaven.  Somehow I wish we could git our mommies to unnerstand that just 'cause we go to heaven don't mean we ain't still here.  Goin' to heaven just means gittin' your wings and gittin' the job of watchin' over everybody you love.

We saw this poem on the Krasota Castle Cats blog...we hope they don't mind if we post it here...we thinked it would be kinda nice for peoples to read since everybody is all so sad.  And we found the pretty picture on the Cat Blogosphere.

Roma Roma Roma!

Hi to all the people on the innernets.  This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  Today I wanna tell you 'bout a wonnerful place.  It's called Torre Argentina.  It is a wonnerful cat sanctuary in Rome, Italy.  Let me tell you...them people in Rome sure no how to treat us little people real good...and they know how to make some good suppers, too!  MMMMmmmm....pizza...

Anyways, see...lotsa homeless kitkats live among them ancient ruins in Rome.  A long time ago...little old ladies started feedin' them poor cats.  Then, a real famous Italian movie star started helpin', too.  Eventually, two real nice ladies taked over and did all kindsa stuff to git money to make it a real real REAL nice place.  They feed the little peoples, git their privates "fixed"...not sure why they is breaked...and give 'em all the medicine they need.

They have more than 250 kitkats to take care of every single day!  Ain't that somethin'???  Dang...them sure is some nice people over in Italy.  If you gits a minute, please be sure to check out their site...and...if you ever go to Italy, please be sure to visit the sanctuary...you will be amazed at all the wonnerful stuff they do there for us little people.

And, finally, to all my kitkat friends in Italy, may your tummies always be full and may all them nice people at Torre Argentina be there to scratch your stuff and give you love.

FELIX IS COMIN' HOME!!!

Hi to everybody on the innernets!  We is so very happy!!!  Mommy just sent us an email and said that FELIX IS COMIN' HOME AT 4:00 TODAY!!!  He still don't feel good, though.  BUT...he'll be here with us and we can love on him!!! 

All us girls gots to git ready...we gots to take a baff, fix our hairs and maybe even put on summa mommy's makin' ups.  Oooohhh...we is SO HAPPY!!!  Once we git all ready, we is gonna sit right here and look outta the door 'til mommy and Felix gits home!

We will take pictures as soon as he gits here and put 'em on the innernets so everybody can share our happiness!!!

PJ Day Has Come and Gone...

To all the peoples on the innernets, this is Fergie and Miss Elizabeth Taylor speakin'...well, it was a lotta hard work but we made it through the Super Innernational Wear Pajamas Day.  As you might expect, we is tired...real tired.  It is time to go to sleep now.  We is a little sad and worried tonight...our big brother, Felix, has gots to go back to the hospital tomorrow mornin'...he's gots to have some tests run on his pooper...he will be gone for 3 - 4 days and nights.  It will be very sad and lonely here without him.  Us two women cats are Felix's main squeeze...we love him more than any other boy cat in the whole world.  It just ain't right that our Felix has gots to go through this.  He's a good boy cat. 

Please pray real real REAL hard that he gits to come back to us real super-fast.

A Very Important Date

Dear Peoples on the Innernets,

We wants to bring to your attention a very extra super-important date.  Mommy is all excited 'bout it and is makin' some BIG plans.  It's called "SUPER Innernational Pajama Day" and it's on Sunday February 3.  Now we is kinda excited 'bout this ourselves.  Here's why...all kinds of good stuff happens when mommy is in her pajamas. 

First, when mommy is in her pajamas, she is usually home.  Now she ain't right so there might be a time when she forgits and leaves the house in her pajamas but that ain't happened YET that we is aware of.  And, when mommy is home in her pajamas, it means there ain't nothin' goin' on in the world to her but US!!!  She is usually only innerested in scratchin' our stuff, givin' us kisses, rubbin' our ears and talkin' to us in that special "mommy loves us" tone.  Ain't no cleanin', compooterin', workin' in the yard or stressin' out 'cause of that person named "work" we was tellin' you 'bout.  Pajama wearin' days mean ain't nothin' goin' on but mommy layin' in bed with us, watchin' old black and white movies, doin' somethin' she calls "nittin"...we call it "playin' with strings", drinkin' hot chokits and LOVIN' on us - the most important peoples in the world to mommy!

So...it's real important that all you pussycats make sure your humans knows 'bout this very important holiday...make sure they git ready to wear them pajamas and do nothin' but pay attention to YOU the whole dang day!!!

An Open Letter To Mommy

Dear Mommy,
I'm real tired of how you is always lovin' on Freddy Astaire Graves III.  I know he's cute and all...with his deformed fingers and weird little face and everything.  But...don't forgit 'bout the rest of us.  I don't never git no lovin' anymore...you is always ooohin' and ahhhin' over Freddy.

What's a man gotta do to git you to scratch a belly or a chin every once inna while?  I am so neglected and abused...it just ain't funny.  Do I need to make some vomit to git you to love on me?

If things don't git better 'round here, I just might haffta make other 'rangements for gittin' a mommy that will appreciate me for the wonderfulness that I am.  I'm sure there is lots of peoples on the innernets that would love to have me as their little boy. Just think 'bout that for a minute or two and then see if you can't find some time to come scratch my stuff.

Phoebe The Dog Gots To Go Home Today!

Hi everybody on the innernets,

We just wanted to pass along the latest news on Phoebe the dog!  She gots to go home!!!  Dang, that is so wonnerful!  Ya know, we don't git the hots for dogs but if we did, us boy cats from the Whiskers & Purr Gang would be doin' some flirtin' with Miss Phoebe.  I mean, with all of her hotness goin' on...dang...she would make a nice girlfriend!

We just wanted to send everybody the latest and say a big and loud "THANK YOU" to everybody that donated and also said prayers for Phoebe...you guys is the best!  The donations totaled $5634.38...uh, DANG...that's a lotta money, people!  Purrs and Headbutts are on the house for EVERYBODY!

PLEASE HELP PHOEBE IF YOU CAN!!!

Hi.  This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  I'm real upset and need you all to think 'bout maybe helpin' if you can.  Mommy reads this here blog every day:  Cabezalana  The guy that writes it is not only a real good knitter but he's also a vetroreguritarian...(Sorry Dr. Mel...I don't spell so good...I do the bestest that I can but I'm blind as a bat...)  On Sunday night, Dr. Mel updated his blog with this post:  Hit & Run  It made all of us real sad.  That poor little dog, her name is Phoebe, needs a lot of help.

I know what it's like to need a lot of help.  I was borned with cadillacs on my eyes and I couldn't see nothin'.  I was so lucky that some nice lady found me when I was a kitten and knowed right away that I would die if I was leaved on my own...she scooped me up and taked me to the Humane Society.  All kinds of real nice people donated money so I could have me an eyeball operation...that's where I meeted Unkle Doktor Blair...and, as y'all all know, I love my Unkle Doktor Blair.  He's workin' on my eyeballs and one day I'm gonna be able to see Real. Dang. Good!
