Why We Ain't EVER NEVER EVER Shoppin' At Petsmart Again

Dear peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  As y'all all knows, mommy has gone far far away to a big ol' meetin' she is responsible for leadin'.  Yesterday she was busy gittin' ready to leave.  She went to Petsmart at the Short Pump Towncenter in Richmond, Virginia where we live. 

Seein' as that she is gonna be gone a whole dang week, she was plannin' on buyin' 'bought 1473 pounds of kitty litter and 3797 cans of Fancy Feast, plus 'bout 573 bags of crunchies.  There's 12 of us...there's a whole lotta Fancy Feast eatin' and litter box poopin' goin' on here.  Mommy pulled into the parkin' lot and could see in the car next to hers that there was a doggie in the car with all of the windows rolled up.  It was hot outside...almost 80 degrees.  Mommy runned into Petsmart and asked the manager to make an announcement over the intercom to tell the owner to get outside and roll down their windows.  The Petsmart manager said "Oh we can't do that...that car is personal property and we cannot tell people what to do."  Mommy said, "You're a pet store for goodness sake.  What do you mean you can't do it?"  The manager said, "No way.  We will not do that."

Mommy just 'bout had a stroke right there in Petsmart.  She told the manager off a little bit...somethin' 'bout him bein' a stupid imbecile...and then runned outside.  She was just callin' the police when the igernit owner of the car came out.  See, mommy has been under a lot of stress lately.  So, she used this as an excellent opportunity to vent some of that stress...let's just say she let that igernit woman know real loud and clear that she didn't deserve to have that little dog in her life and if mommy ever sawed her dog left in a car like that again, she would call the police.  That woman was too dumb to even realize what was wrong in what she had done.

By the way Mr. & Mrs. Petsmart Store...after that incident, mommy went to Petco and buyed almost $150 worth of litter, crunchies, Fancy Feast and Temptations...that's $150 in Petco's pocket and NOT yours.  Guess what, Mr. & Mrs. Petsmart Store...none of our hard-earned money will EVER be in your pocket again...mommy fondly refers to you as nothin' but a bunch of dumb-asses.

Dat was a stoopid excuse dat store guy used. Mom even has had da MANAGER at da grocery store go out to da parking lot wif her and haf a employee make da nouncment! One time da garden center guy actually broke a car window to get to da woofie dat was inside because dey made THREE nouncements and almost an hour had past and no came fur da doggie! Turns out da guy was at a bar next door and din't want his wife to find da car der. Der is a sign at our Petsmart dat sez not to leave yoor pet in da car when it is hot cuz da police will be called. I think da management at dat Petsmart should be reported to da corporate offices!

I totally agree with Zippy, Sadie and Speedy - you should complain to the corporate offices! What kind of a pet store manager doesn't care about animals - that is just insane!

How are you guys doing without your Mum so far? You guys can teleport over to my house and hang out with me and my Mum any time.

I think this proves that PetSmart does not have the well-being of pets at heart. Thank goodness the dog was okay. My Mommie used to have these pre-printed cards with a thermometer on one side and some words about the danger of leaving your pet inside a car printed on the other side. You just leave them under the windshield wiper. Of course, this does not help the poor pet that's inside the car at the time! I think your mom is very brave!

I fink dat manager was stoopid. I bet it's no policy but just him not wantin to make trubble. Maybe you should contact him's bossman at Petsmart so they can knock sum cents into hims.

Mom gets most of our shtuff at a smaller petstore, an it comes out cheaper, but sum fings we needs are only at Petsmart.

Mom wented into an Animart once an was HORRIFIED to see the sign on the cage of kittens:
"All kittens will be sterilized and DECLAWED before adoption"
She wasn't ready fur confrontation rite then, but she won't go der agin.
