Mazie Grace:  I'm afraid, Freddy.

Freddy:  Why, Mazie Grace?

Mazie Grace:  'Cause mommy is goin' far far away and she'll be gone for a real long time...a whole dang week!  Who's gonna love on us and kiss us and scratch stuff for us?

Freddy:  Aw, gosh, little blind girl...don't be skeerd.  My very first mommy, Stacey, is gonna come by and be our mommy.  You'll like her.  She'll be good to us and make sure everything is scratched real good.

Mazie Grace:  It just ain't gonna be the same, Freddy.  What if she don't unnerstand that I is blind and can't see nothin'?  Who's gonna look out for me and make sure none of the big cats is mean to me...ya know, like stickin' their fingernails into me?

Freddy:  Little sister, I'll watch over you.   This whole week, I promise to personally beat the bejeezuz outta anybody that is mean to you.  I'll stick right with you so you won't be 'fraid.  I promise.  Maybe all them nice peoples on the innernets will leave you messages to let you know you ain't alone and gots lotsa friends watchin' over you, too.  Promise you won't be 'fraid, 'kay?
