Mazie Monday

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  It is now times for Mazie Monday!  We have all been kinda sads over the weekend.  The vet's office called mommy on Friday and said our sweet Jimmy's remains was back from the crematoriums.  This is the hardest part for mommy...she says it's almost like havin' the kitty die all over agains.

Mommy bringed Jimmy home Friday night after work...

Mommy cried when she saw the urn...she said it was quite fittin' for this to be Jimmy's final restin' place...he loved sleepin' more than anybody we have ever meeted.  And...he drove mommy nutso tryin' to play with the string when she would nit.  So...havin' a sleepin' kitty layin' on a ball of yarn was perfect for Jimmy.

For those of you that watched us on The Learning Channel (TLC) special we was on, you know that we have a special place in our house for the urns to be placed...it's mommy's Grandma's antique cabinet.  It is real old and real pritty with shelves behind glass doors.  Jimmy is now next to Ricky, Lucy and Felix.

We is all so relieved to have Jimmy home...but so sad he can't play with us anymores.  But he is watchin' over us from heaven, along with the others, and we know that he knows we love him and always will.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Willow Fisher

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

We are sads today.  Our friend, Willow, went to heaven yesterday.  She lived in England with her mommy and was married to our friend, Willi R. McCluney. Willow was the bravestest girl ever...she fought a hard battle with cancer.  

Some people would say the cancer winned.  But we don't think that at alls...See...Willow winned after a long, hard fight.  She winned 'cause that mean ol' cancer can't cause her to hurt no mores.  It can't make her sick no mores.  She is happy now in heaven with all her friends that has gone before her.  We just know that Ricky, Lucy, Felix and Jimmy was waitin' there to greet her and show her the ropes up in heaven.  

Please say a prayer for Willow's mommy and her husband, Willi.  We know how they feel since we just lost our Jimmy a couple of weeks ago.  It's so hard to say goodbye.  But...we will see them again...and Willow's mommy, you will definitely see Willow agains.  There's just no doubt in our mind 'bout that.

And, Willow, just know you will be in our hearts forevers.

A message from Mazie Grace Graves

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'. As y'all has probably heared by now, our sweet Jimmy Durante Graves III had to go to heaven sometime durin' the nights on Monday. I loved him so much and always will. He looked out for me when Elizabeth Taylor would stick her finger nails in me. He was a good snuggler and would put his paw around me to make me feel safe.

Jimmy, I am sure heaven is a much better place than bein' down here but...can't you just come back for a little while? We are all so sads...our hearts are broked...specially mommy's.

There is a Jimmy-sized hole in all of our hearts. Please watch over us every day in heaven and never leave us...just find Ricky, Lucy and Felix and hang with them until its our time to find you...we will all be together one day, Jimmy, I just have to believe and pray for that.

I love you, big brother...and always will forevers.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Jimmy Durante Graves III

Dear friends,

I am so sad to share with everyone that our sweet Jimmy Durante Graves III passed away last night. All of us here in the Whiskers & Purrs House are in shock. Jimmy had not shown any signs of being ill...he had been eating and playing with everyone. I found him this morning when I went to fix breakfast for the Gang. As you can imagine, we are in shock.

Jimmy, I am so sorry that you had to go to heaven. Honey, if there were signs that I should've picked up, I just somehow missed them and I will live with that forever. You taught me so much in your short 7 years. You were such a good brother to everyone in the Gang and the best friend I could ever have.

Please go find Lucy, Ricky and Felix and stay close to them...we'll all be together one day, I promise.

I will love you forever, sweet Jimmy.

A Sad Day...

Yesterday, 4 of our friends had to fly away to heaven.  We are sads.  Please pray for their families...they is all heart broked...and so are we.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Molly Louise Graves

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

We are all very sad today.  We found out that our very sweet Molly Louise Graves went to heaven on Monday night.  She had not been sick or havin' any troubles even though she had FIV and Feline Leukemia.  She was happy and not sick at all.  She just went to sleep and then the angels came down and she went back to heaven with 'em.

Molly, we want you to know that you will always be loved.  You wasn't a stray...you were ours but we just couldn't let you live with us 'cause of that awful FIV and leukemia.  You had a mommy that loved you and 11 brothers and sisters that wanted more than anything to give you headbutts and face washes.  We are so sorry that the first 8 months of your all too short life were so hard.  But we are so thankfuls that the last 3 months were spent in a wonnerful sanctuary where you got lotsa love, kisses, unending suppers all day long and lotsa of other kitty friends to snuggle and play with.

Watch over us from heaven, sweet girl.  You will be in our hearts forevers.

Godspeed, Sweet Baby Cora

Dear friends on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  We just finded this bloggy on Sunday.  Sweet Baby Cora was diagnosed with a real mean form of cancer called "neuroblastoma" just 2 short weeks ago.  She had to go to heaven yesterday.  We are so sad for her mommy and daddy.  Cancer is mean and just no good. 

Watch over us all from heaven, sweet baby girl.  You will always be loved.

Very sad news...

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  We gots very real bad news and we are heart broked.  Our sweet stray kitty is sick.  She is only 'bout 8 months old but is positive for both FIV and Feline Leukemia.  Mommy can't let her stay with us 'cause she don't want any of us to git either one of them bad things.  Aunt Doktor Dugan is gonna keep her in isolation 'til mommy can figure out what to do.

See, with them two bad kinds of bugs, a kitty can live if they have someone to love 'em and manage their health needs.  But they are contagious so they need to be in a home that already has positive kitties or is a one-cat-only house.  That's why our sweet stray kitty can't come live with us.

If anybody lives in or around Richmond, Virginia and either has no kitties or already has a positive kitty and would be willin' to give our sweet girl a home, please send us an email at thekidsATwhiskersandpurrsDOTcom.   Mommy said that we will pay to git her spayed and all her shots if someone can just give her love and a good home and makes sure she stays indoors.  She ain't feral at all...in fact, Aunt Doktor Dugan said she was tame and easy to work with.  She just needs to know how it feels to be loved.

Please help if you can.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Nate

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

Today we are very real sad.  Our sweet cousin, Nate Rice, had to go to heaven yesterday.  The vet ain't sure if he had real bad cancer or maybe even FIP.  Regardless, he had to go to heaven.

Nate was a very good boy.  Every one of us in the Whiskers & Purrs Gang knowed Nate except for Elsie Fallulah and Freddy Astaire Graves III.  The rest of us was foster kids in Aunt Sally and Unkle John's house.  They was Nate's mom and dad. 

Nate was always very patient with us when we was little squirts.  He didn't mind sharin' his mommy and daddy with all of us foster kitties that was brought in. 

Nate and Ruby...pretendin' to do the big IT on the dinin' room table...they was "fixed"...don't worry...they was just playin' pretend!

He was married to Ruby Rice...Ruby was the first kitty that mommy ever rescued.  Ruby was wild as a buck when mommy trapped her...she was a teeny tiny little kitten but carried on like a ferocious lion.  She was one tough little broad.  Mommy trapped her, but Aunt Sally keeped her to try to tame her up some...well...we ain't allowed to tell you what everybody called Ruby...let's just say it's a word that starts with "b" and ends with itch...that was until she saw Nate for the first time.  See, Aunt Sally and Unkle John was keepin' her in a spare bedroom at first.  One day, Nate sneaked in...he and Ruby locked eyeballs and, well, the rest was history.  They was pritty much inseparable after that.  And, Ruby became a nicer kitty...now, she still will rip you to shreds if you even think 'bout touchin' her but she is nicer and she sure loved Nate.

Whether it was that evil, mean and nasty ol' cancer or FIP that made our Nate sick, we only gots one thing to say...we HATE YOU HATE YOU HATE YOU!  You suck!  You might think you are one tough character but you need to know that our Nate WON!  You ain't makin' him sick no more.  He's a-okay now...in heaven watchin' over Aunt Sally, Unkle John and Ruby.  We are addin' Nate to our list of Fierce Fighters.

Godspeed, sweet Nate.  Heaven sure is a brighter place with you up there.  Be sure to find Felix, Lucy and Ricky...with all of ya'll watchin' over us, we know that everything will be okay.

PS...Nate, uh, we wanna ask a favor.  See, Ruby and Aunt Sally and Unkle John are gonna miss you somethin' fierce.  Could you be sure to fly down and somehow let them know you are still with 'em?  Ruby 'specially will want to see you...she's the only one that will be able to see you...we just know it will make her feel better to know you are still with her.

Heaven's Newest Angel: Patti

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

Today we want to also honor heaven's newest angel.  Our sweet friend, Patti, had been very sick with kidney disease.  She foughted so very hard and was real brave.  But yesterday, she had to let her mommy's, Aunt Connie and Aunt Candace, know that it was time to go to heaven.  It was very real hard for them all to say goodbye.  Patti got her wings almost immediately when she got to heaven.  Most kitties have to wait until they go through Angel Training 101, but not Patti.  Since she was so close to bein' an Angel already, she got promoted real quick.  She flied back down to be with Aunt Connie and Aunt Candace to give them reassurin' headbutts and kisses.  They are very sad right now and Patti promised to give them signs that she is still there. 

Please watch over us all from heaven, sweet Princess Patti.
