Finally some GOOD news!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  We've gots a wonnerful story to tell y'all today!  Last week, a real nice lady that lives in Chicago emailed us and asked for some tips on rescuin' a stray that had showed up at her house.  Her name is Aunt Deb.  See...it is very cold and snowy in Chicago and she was very worried 'bout her stray.  Aunt Deb loved her stray so much that she had already figgured out the perfect name...her name was gonna be Abby!  We writed Aunt Deb back and telled her everything that we knowed 'bout gittin' little people like us off of the streets.

Well...don't you know that within' just a couple of days Aunt Deb had successfully rescued little Abby and whisked her away to the vetroregurgitarian.  Just one little problem...uh, Abby was a BOY!  OOPSIE!  So...very quickly Abby became Hamilton!  We are proud to introduce Mr. Alexander Hamilton to all the peoples on the innernets:

Ain't he a good lookin' boy???  Oh he is lucky...he has been saved!  Saved from a life of hunger, sickness and bein' all alone.  He has already started adjustin' to his new home with his new brothers and sisters:  Mr. Butler, Fagin, Myrna, Bootsie, Salvador, Hendrix.

Oh!  And there's more news!  While Aunt Deb was at the vetroregurgitarian's office with Hamilton, she meeted a teeny tiny little girl kitten that was up for adoption.  This little kitten is a very smart person.  See...she was able to work some magic that day...she worked her way into Aunt Deb's heart.  After Aunt Deb taked Hamilton home, she keeped thinkin' 'bout that beautiful little girl kitten that needed a good home.  She just couldn't stop thinkin' 'bout her.  She even emailed us to see what we thoughted 'bout her maybe adoptin' this little girl kitten...uh, well, you probably already know what we telled her!  Do it!!! 

So...sweet little Gracie Mae was quickly picked up and broughted home.  We are proud to introduce Miss Gracie Mae...the most beautiful little girl kitten ever!

Ain't she precious???  We sure do think so!  And...she is also very lucky to have a good home where she will git lots of love, suppers and have other kitties to snuggle with!

So, at a time when all our beans are gittin' nothin' but bad news on the TV and in the newspapers, we are very happy to be able to give all our friends real good news...2 little peoples have been saved and will be cherished for the rest of their lives.  Even though times are real hard right now, all of us that have been saved are very blessed.

Miss Molly Louise Graves: International Super Star!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves speakin'.  We have the B.E.S.T news EVER!  Mommy talked to Miss Lynn from The Best Little Cat House in PA yesterday.  She asked 'bout how our very sweet Molly Louise is doin'.  Mommy was a little skeert to ask 'cause she was 'fraid that Molly might be sad or not happy. 

Well...the conversation went somethin' like this:

MOMMY:  Hi Lynn!  I was calling to check on the kitty I brought you last week.  Her name is Miss Mollly Louise Graves...you know, the solid black little kitty?

MISS LYNN:  Oh!  You mean "Miss Molly Louise Graves, the international SUPER STAR"?

MOMMY:  Uh, well, uh, yeah, I guess that's her?

MISS LYNN:  I was going to call you this weekend...we have received SO many donations from all around the world on Miss Molly's behalf...you just wouldn't believe it!  We've been contacted by people all around the US and the rest of the world about Molly.  The person I have managing donations called me and asked "Who in the world is "Miss Molly Louise Graves"?  We keep getting cards, letters, checks and donations thru PayPal in her name."

MOMMY:  Well, Lynn, that's all the wonderful friends we have all around the world that read our blog.  These are the best people in the entire world...they are kind and caring and wanted to help this poor little formerly-homeless girl have a chance and know that she is loved.

MISS LYNN:  Well, they are definitely helping not only Miss Molly Louise but ALL of the other 120 sick cats we have here.  I think we should name a wing of the sanctuary after Miss Molly Louise based upon the donations we have received this week!

MOMMY:  Well, how is our sweet Molly doing?  Is she okay?

MISS LYNN: Okay???  She is doing GREAT!  She has made lots of friends and is always snuggled up in a kitty-pile sound asleep with her buddies.  She was just helping me clean out a storage room right before you called.  She is the SWEETEST little thing and has adjusted beautifully.  She is happy, has lots of friends and knows that she is loved.

MOMMY:  (Getting all teary-eyed...) Can you do me a favor?  Can you look her right in the eyes and tell her that I called, that I miss her and...most importantly that I love her?  That's so important.  I want her to know that she is loved and that even though she can't live with us, she's still my little girl and that I love her.

MISS LYNN:  Oh, yes...I promise that she knows already.  But I will remind her that she has friends here, all around the world, too, and a mommy that loves her very much.  

And so, sweet friends ont he innernets, our darlin' Miss Molly Louise Graves is happy, safe and warm.  We are humbled that so many of you located all 'round the world would take time to care 'bout a little homeless kitten in Richmond, Virginia.  It makes mommy git all teary-eyed...

We want all of you that said prayers, sent donations and cared to know that YOU made a difference...not only in Miss Molly Louise's life, but in the lives of the other kittes at The Best Little Cat House in PA.  All of your donations will help them other sick little ones that live at the sanctuary.  And, in all honesty, all of you made a difference in our lives, too...we had no idea so many people cared...

Miss Molly Louise's Big Adventure!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  We are so thankful that mommy and Miss Molly Louise made it to The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania yesterday.  The weather was absolutely fine and they didn't have no troubles.  It taked a long time to git there, but man oh man!  Was it EVER worth the drive up!

When mommy first got there, a real nice man named Mike greeted her.  He taked Molly and put her in cage so she could feel safe.  She is located in the Dome of the sanctuary.  This is where all the FIV+ and Feline Leukemia positive kitties live.  There was 'bout 10 or 15 kitties that came to greet Molly.  The very cool thing was that there was absolutely NO growlin' or hissin'.  Everybody was just plain ol' glad to meet Molly.  And, Molly was calm and not skeert at all to see all of them kitties.  Here's a picture of Molly in her "holdin'" cage. 

After Molly was there for a few hours, they was plannin' on openin' up the cage and lettin' Molly explore her new home and meet her new friends.  There is SO much fun stuff for Molly to see and do at the Sanctuary:

There are cool playhouses inside and outside with BIG windows and comfy beds to snooze on:

There's cool stuff to climb on to git way up high so you can watch all of the action with the other kitties:

And, there's even MORE windows to look out once you climb up into the rafters:

There are lots of kitty doors that let the little people go onto the screened-in porches and snooze and cuss at the birdies!

Oh, and we just know that Miss Molly Louise Graves is gonna meet the man of her dreams...there are lots and lots of real handsome boys at The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania. This is a real handsome boy that was rescued durin' that awful storm called Katrina:

Mommy came home feelin' happy but a little sad, too.  See, mommy falled head over heels in love with Miss Molly Louise.  It was very real hard for her to say goodbye.  She cried on the way home.  But...Molly is gonna have a REAL good time at The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania.  And, without a doubt, she knows that she is loved by us and Mommy.  She ain't no stray.  She is a very important person.  She is gonna be loved at her new home.  And for that, mommy is very grateful.

One thing mommy found out is that The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania could use a couple of things...if you ever find yourself with a little extra money that you might be willin' to share, they could use it...you can either send money directly to the Veterinary Hospital that treats all the kitties OR you can buy a gift card to Petsmart.  It don't have to be lots and lots of money...every little bit helps TONS!  Click HERE to find out how to make a donation to the Sanctuary.

Mommy made it home...safe and sound!

Dear peoples on the innernets,

We just wanted to let you know that mommy made it back home, safe and sound!  She ain't even had time to tell us 'bout the journey to The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania yet, but we wanted to let all of our sweet friends know that Molly is now safe and what appears to be very happy in her new home.  And, mommy is happy that she found such a wonnerful place, sad she had to say goodbye to our sweet Miss Molly Louise and VERY tired.

We will fill you in on all the details 'bout the big adventure tomorrow.  Until then...

Gittin' ready to go

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

Well...today is Miss Molly Louise's big day!  Today she will travel with mommy 5 hours north to her new forever home!  Mommy is gittin' ready to go right now.  The weather has been predicted to be very very bad.  But...looks like maybe it didn't happen.  Mommy is gonna call the nice lady that runs The Best Cat House In PA at 8:00 just to make sure everything is still okay. 

Mommy said to tell everybody she will take pictures and update the blog as soon as she can.  Now keep in mind, mommy will be on the road for at least 10 hours today...so...she'll be tired...very tired when she gits back home.  But, she promised she will update everybody as soon as she can.

Please say prayers for mommy and Miss Molly Louise.

Miss Molly Louise's New Home!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

We are all so very excited 'bout Miss Molly Louise gittin' a new home!  She is such a very nice and good girl and deserves only the very extra best.  We owe so many thanks to so many peoples on the innernets that we ain't ever even meeted!  So many peoples sended us comments/emails with suggestions of places to call to see if they would take Miss Molly.  Right now let us say a big ol' THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS to all of you.  So...here's the story of how it all happened...

Mommy called every single lead for a possible sanctuary/home for Miss Molly that we gotted.  She keeped gittin' "I'm sorry...we are full" or "I'm sorry...we can't take Miss Molly because she is FIV/Feline Leukemia positive" responses.  We even had one person here in Richmond offer to take her temporarily and then back out...that person is evil and mommy says she hopes there's a very special place reserved in hell for that woman...(actually, mommy didn't say the word "woman"...she said that cuss word that starts with a "b" and ends with "itch"...)

On Saturday night, we gotted a comment from our sweet friend, Marissa Kitty and her Mommy Jodi.  (We don't think they have a bloggy or we would leave the web site address.)  Marissa Kitty suggested we contact a sanctuary called "Tabby's Place" located in New Jersey.  So mommy called them.  She talked to the very nicest lady in the whole wide world there.  She also had to give mommy the "I'm sorry..." message.  BUT!  This very nicest lady in the whole wide world offered mommy some suggestions...she said "Let me look something up for you online...hold on..."  Mommy was a little skeert this lady was gonna just hang up on her or somethin' just to git her off the phone...she got that from a lot of peoples...but she was determined to hold on and keep tryin'! 

That very nicest lady in the whole wide world came back on the line and said "There's a sanctuary in Pennsylvania called "The Best Little Cat House in Pennsylvania".  Go to this web site:  www.thebestlittlecathouseinpa.com and you might want to give them a call to see if they can help!"  So...mommy did just that!  And, it looked like a very nice sanctuary!  Mommy called them and got another most very nicest lady in the whole wide world named Lynn on the phone!...(How lucky is mommy to keep talkin' to all these nicest peoples in the whole wide world???)  Mommy started off with her big long-winded story and that nicest lady in the whole wide world just quietly listened and then...once mommy finally shutted up, the lady said "I understand exactly what you have been going through with Miss Molly Louise.  You've actually done the hard part...getting her off the street and having her tested.  Thank you for caring enough to do that for her and all the other animals that are homeless.  Yes, we will take Miss Molly Louise into our shelter.  Can you have her here on Sunday afternoon between 1-3 PM?"

Okay, so, if you heard a loud THUMP on Monday mornin' 'round 11:00 AM, that was mommy hittin' the floor after this nicest lady in the whole wide world agreed to help our sweet Miss Molly Louise.  Mommy and Lynn talked 'bout the details...mommy will go to Aunt Doktor Dugan's office very early on Sunday mornin' to git Miss Molly Louise.  She will then hit the road for the 5 hour drive north to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with Miss Molly.  They hope to git there around 1:00 and mommy will take a tour of the sanctuary and then make sure sweet Miss Molly is all settled in.  And then mommy will cry like a crazy person when she has to say goodbye to sweet Miss Molly and head home.

Be sure to visit the web site for The Best Little Cat House in PA...they have one section of their sanctuary that is for old and terminally ill cats...you know with cancer and stuff.  Then they have another section that is for the FIV+ and Feline Leukemia+ kitties like Molly.  All we can say is that they are some very good people and we will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion.

BREAKING NEWS: Miss Molly Louise has been accepted into a Cat Sanctuary!!!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is BIG!   Mommy just called us to let us know that she found a sanctuary in Pennsylvania for FIV and Feline Leukemia positive kitties that is going to give Miss Molly Louise a home!!!  Oh, we are cryin' and laughin' and purrin' and runnin' up and down the stairs with joy!!!  That's all the info we have right now...we'll update you all more later tonight when mommy gits home to give us all the details.  We just wanted to let you all know that everyone's prayers have been answered!

We are all very thankful for everyone that prayed for and cared about our sweet Miss Molly Louise Graves!

Our stray is a stray no more!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

As ya'll knows, we has been tryin' to rescue a stray that showed up right after Felix died in August.  We named him James Bond.  We are so sad because James Bond disappeared several weeks ago.  We ain't seen him in a long time.  But last week, another stray showed up.  He looked like a little squirt!  Well...guess what???

He's safe!!!  He's safe!!!  Niptini's on the house for everybody!!!  This picture ain't so great...it's hard to git a good photo of a kitty in a trap but you git the idea of what he looks like and the evil eyeball he is givin' mommy.

He'll be goin' to see Aunt Doktor Dugan first thing Monday mornin'.  We'll update everybody as to whether he's a he or he's a she.  And, we'll let you know what his name is...he hasn't had a chance to tell us his name and...well, he's a little mad right now so mommy says we should let him be.  He's real skeert so we are gonna let him have a quiet afternoon.

We are all so very thankful that from this day on, he will never have to be alone and never have to be hungry, lonely or afraid.
