To all the peoples on the innernets, this is Fergie speakin'. You might remember a few days ago we telled you 'bout our big brother, Felix, sendin' us a sign that he was still with us. That sign was in the form of a little gray tabby stray cat. We don't know if he's a he or a she...but we have named him James Bond 'cause he is so sneaky and spy-like. We will, of course, change his name to somethin' more appropriate for a Whiskers & Purrs Gang womans in the event we find out he is a she.
Unfortunately, we ain't so sure that James Bond will be able to move into our house 'cause the vetroreguritarians say that since Felix had FIP, we should probably wait 6 months 'fore we bring anybody else into the family. Plus, mommy says she thinks maybe our family is complete now. But, that don't mean we can't help poor homeless James Bond. We has now started what we is callin' "Operation James Bond Rescue". Today the UPS man bringed us this (you can click on the picture to bigify it):
Mommy worked on it and made it look like this:
Her plan is to trick little James Bond in order to git him into the trap 'cause he is what is called a "skeerdy cat". So, Friday night she put the super-stinky food just in front of the door...the trap was propped open so it can't slam shut like this:
She wants James to git used to seein' the trap outside. Tomorrow night she will sit the food just inside the trap door. And then each night she will move the super-stinky food back a little ways until he gits used to goin' in and out of the trap. Then, hopefully one night next week she will actually set the trap and...we is prayin' she can rescue James Bond.
She's already talked to Aunt Doktor Dugan...James Bond will have his extra special private place operated on so he can't make babies. And, he'll git alla his shots. Then we will have to find him a home...and if he is what is called "feral" (we ain't sure yet) we will try to find a farm with a barn so that he will have someone lookin' out for him.
Please say a prayer we can help our little James Bond. We just know Felix wants us to and it is the right thing to do since he ain't got no home or nobody to love him and scratch his stuff.
Very truly yours,
The Whiskers & Purrs Gang
