A Heart-to-Heart Talk with Mommy

Hi.  This is Fergie speakin'.  Last night I had me a heart-to-heart talk with mommy.  It was late late LATE and I couldn't sleep.  So...I trotted over to mommy's side of the bed and curled up real close to her.  She put her arms 'round me and we started snugglin'.  She said "Fergie, I need you to unnerstand that in a few weeks, I will have to go away for work.  I'll be gone for a whole week and I'm already dreadin' leavin' you guys...will you promise me you will be my big girl and watch over everybody?"  I unnerstand she has to go so she can git green papers to buy us Fancy Feast and everything but...why does she have to go for a whole dang week?  That's just too long to go without any tummy rubs and kisses and hugs and stuff.

I hate you, you mean ol' work, for stealin' mommy away all the time!

A whole WEEK! Oh no! My mom just got back from being gone for 3 days and that was more than I can handle! Oh, I want to thank all the Whiskers & Purrs for consoling us during the earthquakes. We're still having aftershocks - one yesterday morning was 4.5!
