Sadness

Waiting_on_big_sisterHi everybody in the whole world.  This is Elsie Fallulah Graves a speakin'.  I am real sad.  My big sister went to heaven yesterday.  Lucy was the only momma cat I ever knowed.  She wasn't my real momma.  My real momma was taken away from me by some real mean people when I was only 3 weeks old.  That's how my new mommy found me.  She let me live with her and Ricky & Lucy.  I loved Lucy & Ricky right off the bat...but...they sure didn't love me.  But over the past couple of years, Lucy and me became real good friends.  She used to lick my face and give me real good baths.  Now I ain't got nobody to take care of me the way she did.  When she started gittin' real sick a few weeks ago, I started watchin' over her like a hawk.  I would sit straight up beside her when she would take naps.  I wanted to make sure that none of the other kids in our house would bother her.  And, every time she'd eat a little bit of supper, I'd make sure I gave her head butts to cheer her on.  But I guess it just wasn't enough 'cause she was real sick.  Her liver just decided to quit.  Dang liver!

Lucy, I know you is in heaven with Ricky now.  Please watch over us, okay?  We is all so sad and miss you very very much.  Mommy has been cryin' ever since you had to leave.  When you git your wings, promise that you will fly down from heaven and stay with us, 'kay?  I know mommy won't be able to see you but the rest of us will.  You're still in charge and all of us little ones will know you are in the house.  We'll try to let mommy know, too.

I'm gonna sit here in this window and watch for you to fly down from heaven.  Git here soon, okay?

We love you, Lucy.

Your little sister,
Elsie Fallulah

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Lucy. I haven't been by in quite a while and didn't know about her until now. I am sure that she will watch over you.
