Memories of Making Vomit
Hello. My name is Lucy Margarite Graves. I am in charge of the Graves House. I am 13 years old, nearly died last year and have put up with my mommy for a very long time. That means I've earned the position of being the boss.
This time last year I was just beginnin' to get sick. I didn't feel good so I quit eating. When I quit eating, my liver decided to go on strike 'cause it needs supper every day to keep me pink. Mommy took me to the wonderful people at "The Hospital For Very Sick Cats". They put in a feeding tube cause I just couldn't eat. I would try but then I would make vomit all over the place. I was at "The Hospital For Very Sick Cats" for one whole month. Mommy would come to visit me twice every day. She would come at her lunch time and sing to me. Then she would come back and sing to me some more after work. I really liked it when she would sing "You Are My Sunshine". But she would always start to cry when she'd get to the "Please don't take my sunshine away" part. The doctor's pretty much had given up on me. I wasn't gettin' any better but they agreed with Mommy and Aunt Doctor Dugan that I should go home and see if I could feel better. Aunt Doctor Dugan checked on me every day and mommy would sleep with me in the spare bedroom every night. Pretty soon, I started to turn pink again. And, I started eatin' my crunchies and Fancy Feast like you wouldn't believe! Now I'm all better and very thankful that I don't have to make vomit anymore.
Now, I take naps all day long, fuss at all the little cats in the house, let mommy kiss me and love me and pretty much rule the roost. I just want to say that I love my mommy, even though she's not very smart, and I love my Aunt Doctor Dugan very, very much. She helped to save my life. If you're a cat that lives in Richmond, you should go see my Aunt Doctor Dugan at Gayton Animal Hopsital. She is the most wonderful vetroregurgitarian (that's a very big and hard word to spell!) in the whole world.
That's it for now. Gotta go finish a nap I started.
Meow!
Lucy Margarite
