Please don't go to work today, Mommy.
Dear Mommy,
Please don't leave us today, 'kay? All of us is real sad and lonely. You ain't had no time for us this week 'cause of that mean ol' evil "work" person. Us little people need some lovin' and attention from you.
Please don't go, please don't go, please don't go!!! I'm gonna lay here and look real pitiful just so you is gonna feel real real REAL bad if you do leave us. I hope all day long you think 'bout this picture of me lookin' sad and lonely and neglected...
How many days 'til Saturday?
Very truly yours,
Freddy Astaire Graves III

This tactic never has worked for me. She always leaves. But...she always comes back!

We've learned that humans have to work so that we have food, and shelter, and treats, and toys, and all that stuff. Still, we much prefer having them home.

good luck Freddy! it doesn't werk for us - we get the "if i don't go to werk, there will be no green papers to buy you foods" line. we think that's possibly a lie, but we won't risk it.

Good luck, Freddy. Mommy never listens to us when we tell her that . . . but she does always come back, just like Parker's mom!

Oh Freddy, if that pitiful look won't make her stay home - then nothing will. You do the pitiful look very well!

Awww...I hope your momsie decided to stay with you and give you some extra attentions.
I do the same thing to my mommy.
I stand on the fridge that is next to our front door and cry when she grabs her keys or puts her shoes on.
