Sweet Henry...could it be true?

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III speakin'.  Notice I ain't talkin' in italics today!!!  We is almost askeerd to believe that maybe I'm feelin' a little bits better!  Yesterday mommy came home at lunch time to feed me and I was sittin' on one of our perches in the sunshine watchin' the birdies in the back yard.  And when mommy gotted home last night, I was walkin' 'round the house just doin' my normal Henry-stuff.  I wasn't limpin' or stiff in my joints the way I was Friday - Monday.  Last week I just stayed on mommy's bed, asleeps on her pillow.  I started out with hurties in my left paw and then it went to all four of my feets...I was very stiff all over and it hurt me to walk or move at all.  I walked around growlin' at myself.  I feeled real real REAL bad and didn't want nothin' to do with the rest of the Whiskers & Purrs Gang.

Now I still won't eat on my own so mommy still is havin' to feed me Hill's AD in a syringe and I'm very weak, but I'm MUCH more alert and bright-eyed. I'm still takin' all my medicines and bein' a real good boy.  Aunt Doktor Dugan said that if I'm still doin' good through today without my fevers comin' back or the stiffness in my legs, then I'm probably gittin' better.  Please just say a prayer that I keep feelin' betters...I'm ready to git back to bein' me...ya know, a very important Senator.  I've gots lots to do before the election.

Very truly yours,
Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III

Dear Senator, This is such good news. We are hopeful of a complete recovery from whatever it was that attacked you. Since it is so close to election time, do you suppose your rival party had something to do with this? To incapacitate you, if not worse? We will keep our ears to the ground and let you know if we hear anything. You just concentrate on getting well!
