Update on Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III
Dearest peoples on the innernets,
This is Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III speakin'. Well, I gots to tell you...yesterday was not a fun day. I had to spend the WHOLE DANG DAY at Aunt Doktor Dugan's office. It was not fun. I did not feel good then and I do not feel so good now.
See, I can't put weight on my left front leg. It hurts me bad. And, it's kinda hard to walk around on 3 feets when you is used to walkin' on 4. Yesterday, one of the new vetroregurgitarians at Aunt Doktor Dugan's office gived me a exam. Her name is Dr. O'Sullivan and she is very nice. I think she was a little intimidated in treatin' such an important person as me, what with me bein' a Senator and all. I tried to tell her to not be nervous...I lick my paws just like every other ordinary cat in the world. I think that helped her to relaxx some.
She drained out a lot of my bloods and runned a bunch of tests on it. They gived me some medicine that helped with my fevers. This morning we got my results they runned on my bloods. Everything came back perfect so...they said we don't gots to worry 'bout FIP right now or any kind of infection. It's probably a soft tissue injury but we just ain't so sure how or when it happened.
I got to come home last night and I have just been layin' low ever since. If I am still limpin' on Monday, I gots to go back to see the vetroregurgitarian. Please pray I can use all 4 of my feets real soon. I'm tard of this.
Very truly yours,
Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III

That is very good news that your doctors say it cannot be FIP related.
I hope you recover from this injury quickly. I know you don't want to go see the doctor again on Monday. She got to see you enough already!

Dear Senator,
I know that this has been a rough and tumble political year, but you must take care of yourself! I think some rest & tuna will help you too feel better. Always makes me feel better.

We're sure glad you're home, Senator. It would be a shame if you'd had to spend the weekend away from your family for a possible soft tissue injury. At least they know you don't have FIP, so we're sending some extra purrs and tail wags so you'll get better soon.
We suggest you milk the injury for all it's worth! Limp, cry, look pitiful. Make them give you a very soft warm bed to rest your injured paw on and to bring you tempting morsels of food to eat on it. A niptini or two might help too.
