Dear friends,
What a whirlwind day. I left the house this afternoon fully expecting that Felix would pass. But, when I got to the hospital, his temperature had dropped and he was much brighter and alert. He was purring and giving us all headbutts. He had been on fluids since 6:00 AM and his temperature had come down some, plus, he did not seem to be in nearly as much pain.
The vet and I looked at each other and agreed that this was not the time. This may only be a temporary reprieve and tomorrow we could be preparing to say goodbye for the second time, but for now...this very minute...that beautiful, loving and charming little man is still very much with us.
I can't thank you all for the wonderful and kind comments and ALL of the wonderous prayers. My cats are my family...losing one of them is just like losing any other family member. It's so painful and hard to see them sick. Your kindness is what is getting me through this sad time.
Please keep prayin'...I know those prayers are giving Felix strength!
Thanks!
Mommy Jenny
