Elsie Fallulah Update

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves speakin'.  I just wanted to let you all know that I am finally on the mend.  I still gots to take my medicines but...my Butt-Tockses is startin' to not be quite as red and sore.  I have been sleepin' every night on the pillow next to mommy.  Every once in a while she reaches over and rubs my tush and tummy.  Life. Is. Good.  I still have not forgived her for shovin' medicine down my throat...but...she makes up for it with kisses, belly rubs, whisker skritches and many conversations with me 'bout my beauty and sheer wonnerfulness.  Now, if I could just do somethin' 'bout that TLC camera that got a shot of Aunt Doktor Dugan examinin' by swollen tushy...for the WHOLE world to see...includin' my Anderson Cooper...

Thanks, again, to everybody for bein' concerned 'bout me and my tushy.

Mazie Monday!

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  Today is Mazie Monday!  I know somethin' that none of the other Whiskers & Purrs Gang knows...it's a secret...it's gonna make all of The Gang very mads...

See, with me bein' blind as a bat and all, I gots me some extra very good hearin'.  I heard mommy whisperin' on the phone 'cause she don't want none of us to know yet...

She is gonna leave us for a whole dang week!  We will be all by our selfs.  Aunt Stacy will come in twice a day to check on us but we won't git no mommy-lovin' for 7 whole days.  I heard mommy sayin' that she don't wanna leave...that she's gots to go to some meetin' for work.  I just don't unnerstand beans...if you gots somethin' you don't wanna do, why do you do it anyways?  You would never see a cat doin' somethin' they don't wants to do. 

I gots to find a way to tell all of The Gang that there will be no mommy kisses, mommy belly rubs, mommy ear skritches, mommy tushy rubs for a whole dang week...we must start plottin' our punishment for mommy now...it will be a busy week!

A message from Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves

To all my sweet friends on the innernets,

This is Elsie Fallulah Graves speakin'.  I'm talkin' in italics 'cause I don't feel so goods and I'm a little weak.  I want to thank all of my dear friends that have leaved me comments and emails sendin' good wishes for me to git betters.  I'm gonna try to git to everybody's bloggy's to say thanks but it might be a whiles before I can git to everybody.

I'm still not eatin' too good but I'm strong enough to git real mads and bite the livin' bejeezuz outta mommy when she tries to shove that awful poison medicine down my throat.  It looks like my little tushy is startin' to not be quite as red and swollens.  I still gots a ways to go before I'm back to bein' my selfs, but...mommy seems to think I'm on the mend.

We just wanted to let everybody know that we appreciate all the emails and comments...you kitties and beans on the innernets are the bestest EVER!  We love you all!

Elsie Fallulah Update

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  Our sweet Elsie Fallulah got to come home last night.  We are still worried 'cause she just ain't actin' like herself.  She still don't feel good at all.  She is hidin' and very sad.  Mommy talked to Aunt Doktor Dugan last night after Elsie got home.  Mommy might take her back to the hospital this mornin' if things don't start to improve.

One by one all of us gived her head butts when she got home last night.  We was all so happy to see our sweet Miss Elsie!  Mazie Grace washed her face for her real good.  But Elsie is still sad and don't seem to feel very good.  This makes us very sad, too.

Please keep sayin' prayers that she will feel betters and also that Elsie will cooperate and let mommy git all the medicine in her...we all need our Elsie to git back to bein' her wonnerful self.

We are skeert 'cause Miss Elsie is in the hospital.

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is all of us speakin'.  We are now really skeert.  Elsie is in the hospital and ain't been able to come home.  Part of the problem is that she is what is a called "a pistol" and won't let mommy give her the medicine she needs. It takes 2 beans to git her medicine in her.  She's way tougherer than mommy so Aunt Doktor Dugan thought it might be best if she stay in the hospital where one bean can hold Elsie down while the other bean shoves the medicine down her.  The other reason that she had to stay is that they ain't sure what is wrong and want to be able to keep an eyeball on her.

We are so lonely 'cause Miss Elsie ain't here.  The Whiskers & Purrs House just ain't the same without her here.  Please say prayers that she will git better and can come home.  It just ain't right for her to not be here.

This is all of us speakin'.  Our sweet little Elsie Fallulah Graves is still not doin' so good...when mommy gotted home from work yesterday, Elsie had started not feelin' good again.  Her little tush was bright fire engine red and it was very hurty.  Mommy called Aunt Doktor Dugan and she told mommy some things she could do to help Elsie feel a little more comfortable for the night.  Mommy is takin' Elsie back to Aunt Doktor Dugan's office this mornin'. 

We are all very sad that our little Elsie is feelin' so very bad.  Please say a prayer for her, 'kay?

Mazie Grace's big trip to see Unkle Doktor Blair

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  Lotsa peoples have been askin' 'bout my big trip to see Unkle Doktor Blair on Monday.  At first we thoughted we would wait until Mazie Monday to update everybody...but...we is all so excited, we just couldn't wait that long to share the very special good news.

First of all...them super-nice people from The Learnin' Channel bringed their big cameras and went with me.  They got our whole visit on video!  Maybe it will be included in the documentary we is gonna be in!!! 

Unkle Doktor Blair asked how I do gittin' 'round the house...mommy told him I do GREAT but that I sometimes walk into stuff and sometimes fall...He looked deep deep deep into my soul...uh, I mean eyeballs...and then he looked at mommy and said the magical words..."Mazie Grace sees better in her left eye.  But her right eye is not so great.  I think we can improve her vision in the that right eye with a procedure!"  Mommy telled him she wanted me to have the best vision I can possibly have but if there is a possible risk of makin' my eyesight worser by doin' a procedure, she would rather keep things the way they is.  He said he unnerstood...that there would be very little risk of makin' my vision worser with the procedure he's gonna do and that there's a 75% chance my eyeball will be betterer...and a 25% chance it will stay the same. 

So...on May 28th, I'm gonna git me a eyeball operation on my right eye!  Oooooohhhh...peoples...maybe I'll be able to see like everybody else!  Can you believe that???  I am SO excited. 

I've got to start restin' up for my big operation day on the 28th!  I'm so thankfuls...a eyeball operation AND I git to spend the whole day with my Unkle Doktor Blair...much to be thankfuls for!

Elsie had a very bad day...

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves speakin'.  Monday was a very sad, bad day.  See, I had me a little problem...somethin' was bad wrong with my pooper.  Mommy discovered it on Sunday evenin'.  I had the poops very real bad.  It was so bad that my tushy was very very VERY red and sore and swollen.  It hurted when I walked and if mommy even thoughted 'bout touchin' me.  She tried to clean me up but it hurted SO bad...I can't begin to tell you how very awful it was.  I screamed very real loud and I growled and I hissed. 

So this mornin' mommy called Aunt Doktor Dugan's office and asked if she could bring me in...I went to see Aunt Doktor Dugan and she ruled out all kinds of things with some tests.  She said she didn't really know what caused my troubles but she had to give me a steroid, some stuff for pain, somethin' for my bad pooper, an antibiotic AND...she shaved my Butt-Tocks!.

But...you know what the worsted part was?  Them very nice peoples from The Learnin' Channel was with us...they got a big long shot of my Butt-Tocks!  My sore, red, hurty Butt-Tockses is gonna be on national TV for the whole dang world to see!

I am SO embarrassed...what will my Anderson Cooper think?  Oh...I will never be able to show my face again!

Mazie Monday

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  Today is Mazie Monday.  I have gots me a big day today...I gits to go see my Unkle Doktor Blair for my eyeball examination...I can't wait until I git to go but I am a little skeert.  I'm gonna say me a prayer and I don't mind if all my friends on the innernets hears it...here it goes...

Dearest God,
This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  Of course, what with you bein' God and all, you probably already knowed that.  I wanted to ask you a favor...I'm real excited to see my Unkle Doktor Blair but I'm worried...see I used to not be able to see nothin'.  But after I had my eyeballs operated on, I was able to see a little bit.  Now Unkle Dotkor Blair is gonna look to see if I needs to git my eyeballs operated on again.  I'm a little skeert 'cause I'm worried that maybe my eyeballs will git more busted up and I'll be back in the dark again.  Can you do me a favor and help Unkle Doktor Blair know what to do 'bout my eyeballs?  I mean, he is the smartest main on the face of the earth but...well...I think maybe you might be just a little bit smarterer.  Me and mommy sure would appreciate it.
