Our Big Announcement: The Whiskers & Purrs Gang 2008 Cat of the Year
Dearest peoples on the innernets,
We have been thinkin'...the end of the year is comin' and we are gonna do our regular end-of-the-year wrap up like we did last year. But before we do that, we wanna start a brand new tradition here at the Whiskers & Purrs Gang.
See, we feel like are a pritty unique group of kitties...what with us havin' a Senator, a Duchess, a Mademoiselle and a little girl that is blind as a bat and all...well, we think we is pritty profound little peoples. So, we was watchin' TV and hearin' 'bout Time magazine's Person of the Year and we thoughted to ourselfs...we should have a Whiskers & Purrs Cat of the Year!
The Whiskers & Purrs Cat of the Year is the cat or cats who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year. (Uh, okay, Time Magazine peoples, we sorta plagerized this right off of your web site...except for the "cat" part...if you're gonna put somebody in jail, please make sure it's mommy...)
So this is how this is gonna work...below is a description of each one of us. Take a look and, based on all the stuff we posted here over the last year, please vote on the Whiskers & Purrs Gang member you think should be the Cat of the Year. We will announce the winner on January 1, 2009...your votes are a very important part of how the winner will be selected. Mommy will make the final decisions and take your input into serious considerations. So, be sure to vote, 'kay? This is very real important.
Felix Unger Graves - the man of the house...Felix was a good boy that watched over every one of us...includin' mommy. He went to heaven on August 13, 2008. Rest in peace, sweet boy.
Elsie Fallulah Graves - a very lovin' woman cat that is beautiful on the inside and the out. She was borned with only one nose hole and a big gigantical tooth comin' outta her mouth like a unicorn's horn. She had a nose job and her tooth fixed and now she is just perfect!!!
Senator Henry Jackson Edward Graves III - a VERY important and powerful US Senator...Henry likes to think outside of the box...he believes in poopin' pritty much wherever he wants. He's a deep thinker that provides much insight into today's big issues.
Fergie the Duchess of Huntsmoor - a loving and smart Ginger Girl...Fergie is full of purrs, headbutts and kisses for anyone that needs them. She was married to Felix...and misses him terribly. Every morning she looks for him...relentlessly. It's okay, sweet girl, mommy misses him, too.
Mrs. Lilly White - the most perfect, prim and proper southern lady in the WORLD. She loves naps, tummy rubs, kisses and supper.
Mademoiselle Coco Chanel - a shy and sneaky beautiful girl cat...Coco loves to have her tummy rubbed and git kisses from the Senator.
Georgie Porgie Puddinandpie - a very sweet and shy Ginger Boy that loves to let Elsie have her way with him...he is afraid to be picked up by mommy but LOVES it when she does...he's the strong silent type...Georgie NEVER meows.
Miss Elizabeth Taylor - a beautiful Tuxedo Girl that can be a terrorist. She LOVES to stick her fingernails into Mazie Grace because it is so much fun to here her scream.
Mazie Grace - the sweetest tiny little brown mouse in the house. Mazie was born with cataracts on both eyes. She has had surgery but still cannot see. She is a tough, smart and very sweet little girl that is loved by EVERYONE...except for Elizabeth Taylor...
Buzzy Randolph Graves III - a very handsome and manly Ginger Boy...Buzzy is painfully shy but loves to jump on mommy's lap for kisses. He drools if she even scratches his ears. He LOVES Mazie Grace with all of heart.
Jimmy Durante Graves III - a very sweet and loving black and white boy. He learned as much as he could from Felix and now is working very hard to follow in his pawsteps as the man of the house.
Freddy Astaire Graves III - a very handsome and loving tuxedo boy that has a heart the size of Mount Rushmore. He's missing some toes on his front paws but still loves to run and jump and play...oh, and he LOVES Mazie Grace with all of his heart!
