Top Cat Tuesday...on Wednesday: Great Aunt Elsie

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves speakin'.  I am very real disgusterated.  Yesterday was Top Cat Tuesday and mommy said she was "too busy" to help me post to the bloggy.  I'm tellink you, you just cannot find good help these days...Anyways, we is gonna post today because I gots some big ass excitin' stuff to share with all my friends on the innernets.

Mommy has been helpin' her aunt that lives in West Virginia 'cause she has somethink called "Alzheimer's Disease".  Mommy helped to git her into assisted living and now is workin' to start sellin' her house.  She has been tryin' to sort through her things in order to figger out what to sell, what to keep, what to trash...and she founded a big box with old old old old OLD pictures.

One picture in particular reminded her of someone real specials in her family.  See mommy was real close with her grandmother on the her dad's side.  She teached mommy how to do fun things like nittin' and croshays and stuff...you know...playin' with strings.  When mommy was borned, her grandmother was already pretty olds...all of her family had already gone to heavens.  But mommy heard all 'bout 'em...she had forgotted 'bout the beautiful little girl in this here cool picture...

The little girl in this picture is Miss Elsie Lillian Fleshman.  She is mommy's grandmother's older sister. Elsie was born in 1891...uhm...that was 120 years ago!  This picture is old old old...you know...like my mommy!  The two little boys are Great Uncle Carl (left) and Great Uncle Lyle (Right).  Mommy's grandmother had not yet been borneded when this picture was taken...she was borned in 1893.  

Now personally, I am very extra prouds of Great Aunt Elsie...I think she is representin' all Elsie's in the whole world quite wells.  First of all...she is ROCKIN' one fine hair-do with that big curly-que thing on the top of her head.  And, you can tell she obviously knows how to travel first class, all decked out on that fuzzy blankits...(mommy says that blankit upsets her 'cause it is probably furs...but they probably didn't have faux furs back then...)...Also Great Aunt Elsie is the center of attention in this picture...she is surrounded by mens who obviously adores her...

Unfortunately, Great Aunt Elsie kinda had a sad life...she died in 1953...she had Parkinson's Disease.  I am proud to say I am part of a family with a such strong role model for Elsie's all around the worlds. Today I am goin' to ask all of my friends to have a moment of silence in honor of Great Aunt Elsie.

Mazie Monday

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Mazie Grace speakin'.  It is now times for Mazie Monday!  We have all been kinda sads over the weekend.  The vet's office called mommy on Friday and said our sweet Jimmy's remains was back from the crematoriums.  This is the hardest part for mommy...she says it's almost like havin' the kitty die all over agains.

Mommy bringed Jimmy home Friday night after work...

Mommy cried when she saw the urn...she said it was quite fittin' for this to be Jimmy's final restin' place...he loved sleepin' more than anybody we have ever meeted.  And...he drove mommy nutso tryin' to play with the string when she would nit.  So...havin' a sleepin' kitty layin' on a ball of yarn was perfect for Jimmy.

For those of you that watched us on The Learning Channel (TLC) special we was on, you know that we have a special place in our house for the urns to be placed...it's mommy's Grandma's antique cabinet.  It is real old and real pritty with shelves behind glass doors.  Jimmy is now next to Ricky, Lucy and Felix.

We is all so relieved to have Jimmy home...but so sad he can't play with us anymores.  But he is watchin' over us from heaven, along with the others, and we know that he knows we love him and always will.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Willow Fisher

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

We are sads today.  Our friend, Willow, went to heaven yesterday.  She lived in England with her mommy and was married to our friend, Willi R. McCluney. Willow was the bravestest girl ever...she fought a hard battle with cancer.  

Some people would say the cancer winned.  But we don't think that at alls...See...Willow winned after a long, hard fight.  She winned 'cause that mean ol' cancer can't cause her to hurt no mores.  It can't make her sick no mores.  She is happy now in heaven with all her friends that has gone before her.  We just know that Ricky, Lucy, Felix and Jimmy was waitin' there to greet her and show her the ropes up in heaven.  

Please say a prayer for Willow's mommy and her husband, Willi.  We know how they feel since we just lost our Jimmy a couple of weeks ago.  It's so hard to say goodbye.  But...we will see them again...and Willow's mommy, you will definitely see Willow agains.  There's just no doubt in our mind 'bout that.

And, Willow, just know you will be in our hearts forevers.
