Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  Today I'm gonna spotlight one of our newest friends.  She is a wonnerful wonnerful girl named Cassie...and she sure is a beauty!  Check her outs:

Don't you just want to tippy-toe up next to her and give her a gentle headbutt?  I purr every single time I see her picture!  Cassie owns a nice lady that my mommy works with.  Yesterday, her mommy was tellin' my mommy that sweet little Cassie is sick...she has that awful, mean, evil, nasty, skankified cancer...we hate cancer in the Whiskers & Purrs House 'cause it's what caused our Lucy & Ricky to have to go to heaven.  They was the Original's of the Whiskers & Purrs House and really trained mommy up right.

And so, my dear friends on the innernets, I'm gonna ask that everybody in the whole dang world take a few minutes today and say a prayer for sweet Cassie.  She is a sweet and beautiful womans and deserves to feel goods and be healthy.

Finally Friday...

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  I am SO glad today is Friday.  This has been a very real busy week.  This picture is a example of just one of the many things I gots to do every day to make sure the Whiskers & Purrs House is A-OK.  Protectin' everybody from them evil bugs on the outside of the big glass door is hard hard works.  Mommy sure is lucky to have me arounds.

Two years ago today...

 

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  Two years ago today I meeted Mommy Jenny for the first time ever.  I was livin' in Aunt Doktor Dugan's office in a cage that was located in her lobby.  I knowed instantly that she was my mommy but it taked her a week of thinkin' 'bout me before she asked Dr. Dugan if she could adopt me. 

My life just ain't been the same ever since, what with all the gorgeous womens, the Fancy Feast and toys...I'm livin' the high lifes.  And...who would've thoughted that a poor little stray rescued off the streets would go on to be a  gigantical National TV Star like me.

It just goes to show...anything can happen in America.

It was late last night...

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  It was late late LATE last night...the house was all dark and ALL 11 of us was on the big bed with mommy.  Everybody was sleepin'...includin' mommy...everybody was sleepin' but ME, that is!  All you could hear was purrin' and snorin'. 

I was lonely so I accidently on purpose bopped mommy on the head with my paw and said "Hi Mommy...looks like you can't sleep!  I will keep you company"...she rolled over and I curled up into her arms.  We had us a very long talk.

We talked 'bout what a good family we have and how we are so blessed and how happy we are to be togethers.  I thanked mommy for hearin' me ask her if I could go home with her the first time she saw me in the cage at Aunt Doktor Dugan's office.  Not every bean can hear when us cats talk with 'em.  Mommy also talked 'bout how worried she is 'bout her mommy since she is so terribly very real bad sick.  I gived mommy lots of headbutts tryin' to help her feel betters.

And then...well...mommy told me somethin' real important.  This is real big, peoples...you might want to make sure you are sittin' down before you read this.  Mommy pulled me real real REAL close and said, "Freddy, I want you to know that out of ALL the boys in the world named Freddy Astaire Graves III, you are my favorite.  I love YOU more than any other boy named Freddy Astaire Graves III.  You are the BEST one that has ever been or ever will be."

Wow.  It just don't git any bigger or better than this, peoples.  Bein' loved and havin' a home sure is wonnerfuls.

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  I am very very VERY busy today...busy protectin' the house from evil bugs.  Mommy hates bugs so I must make sure they are not allowed past our front door.  I am doin' a very good job, don't you think?

We are lonely.

Dearest peoples on the innernets,

This is Freddy Astaire Graves III speakin'.  Mommy has been spendin' all of her time watchin' over Mazie Grace.  She has to keep Mazie in the livin' room with the door closed 'cause she's afraid that we will play too rough and maybe hurt Mazie Grace's eyeball.  We all unnerstand that and we all want Mazie to git everything she needs and git better real soons, but...well...we miss mommy.  She ain't been sleepin' on the big bed upstairs.  We ain't had no snuggles or nothin' since Mazie had her eyeball operation last week.  What if she forgits that we are here?  We sure hope we git some snuggles or somethin' real soons...we are very lonely.

A message for Freddy from Mommy

Dearest Freddy,

One year ago today you officially became my little boy.  Oh what a happy day!  I will never forget meeting you in Doctor Dugan's lobby while I was waiting on Fergie...and, no, Fergie...I had NOT tried to kill you.  It was all a big accident with my using Easy-Off Oven Cleaner.  I didn't realize it would hurt your little lungs...please stop putting the guilt-trip on me...I feel just awful about it!

I never will forget those big huge eyes of yours, Freddy, and those freaky little front paws that are missing some toes.  How you stole my heart, little man.  I just knew you were the missing member of the Whiskers & Purrs Gang and would fit right in.

And fit right in you did...instantly becoming best friends with Jimmy and Mazie Grace!  And...you fit right into my heart, sweet boy.  I just can't remember what it was like to come home without you here to greet me.

Thanks for bringing such joy to us...I'm thankful for everything you have taught me.  Happy One Year Anniversary, sweet boy!
